Rising Stars in School Business

The Emerging Leaders Scholarship recognizes school business professionals with five or fewer years in the field and helps them develop into tomorrow's leaders. The 2026 Emerging Leaders Scholarship program will provide 20 recipients registration for ASBO International’s 2026 Annual Conference & Expo and $2,000 scholarship to cover travel and lodging expenses.  

 

Requirements

  • Letter of recommendation addressing      
    • Why are you nominating this individual for the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program? 
    • How has the nominee shown growth or potential in school business? 
  • Resume
    • Career history and achievements 
    • Educational and professional credentials and awards 
    • Publication and presentations on school business 
    • Professional activities with ASBO International, ASBO Affiliates, and other organizations. 
  • Answers to the follFowing (300 words max each)   
    • What do you hope to gain personally and/or professionally from participating in this program? 
    • How will your participation in this program benefit your school district?
