BRIAN MEE SFO SCHOLARSHIP
The Brian Mee SFO Scholarship honors the legacy of Brian Mee, a lifelong champion of the school business profession whose nearly 40-year career spanned service as a practitioner, industry partner, affiliate leader, and President of ASBO International. Brian was deeply committed to professional excellence, continuous learning, and servant leadership, and he played a pivotal role in strengthening both Arizona ASBO and ASBO International. Funded through a generous annual gift from Valley Schools Management Group, the scholarship supports 10 school business professionals each year in earning their School Finance Officer (SFO) Certification. Through this investment, Brian’s passion for developing others and elevating the profession continues to live on.
REQUIREMENTS

- How has the individual shown integrity, kindness, and or dedication to the profession?
- Professional resume
- Must demonstrate a combination of relevant education and/or professional experience required to be eligible to earn the SFO.

DEADLINE
Nominations are were June 1 for consideration for the 2026 Brian Mee SFO Scholarship
AWARD
Ten (10) recipients will receive a scholarship to cover the study guide costs, as well as the application and exam fees for earning the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations (SFO).
REVIEW
Applications are reviewed and selected by the donor (Valley Schools Management Group) who may occasionally consult with the family of Brian Mee.
