Reston, VA – February 1, 2017 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to announce that Anthony “Tony” Dragona, Ed.D., RSBA, school business administrator/board secretary in Union City, New Jersey, is the 2017 ASBO International President. His term is March 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017.

Dragona, who was selected by acclamation, has been active in both ASBO International and in the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials. He is a past president of New Jersey ASBO, a past member of the ASBO International Board of Directors, and recipient of the 2009 Distinguished Eagle Award. Dragona also has served on and chaired a variety of committees for both ASBO International and New Jersey ASBO.

“I look forward to the opportunity to help guide the association in fulfilling its mission of advocating for school business officials and the students they serve,” Dragona says. “ASBO International has 5,000 members spanning 18 countries, as well as 58 affiliates that represent more than 42,000 school business officials.
