Learn Your Way: AM&E Education Formats
Everyone learns differently, and ASBO International offers
a wide mix of education formats to promote the learning
process at the Annual Meeting & Expo!Annual Meeting Workshops and SeminarsIn-depth sessions on specific topics of current interest held the day before the Annual Meeting. Workshops and Seminars range from 2 hours, 1/2 day (4 hours), or full day (8 hours) and include between 20 to 60 participants. For 2012, the Annual Meeting workshops will be brought to you at no charge with the support of American Fidelity Assurance Company. The Annual Meeting Seminars will be brought to you at no charge with the support of ASBO International. Discussion GroupsTake part in engaging, facilitated conversations that explore the issues that matter most to you and your school district. Conversations are tailored to the various topics including:
Deep Dig SessionsParticipate in a two-hour, highly interactive educational session that will drill deep into the topic at hand. You'll be engaged and encouraged to participate through lively question and answer format. Gold Mine SessionsJump in to this rapid round table discussion facilitated by practicing school business officials. Tables are set up with 10 people at a table and a maximum of 25 tables. You'll change tables every 15 minutes and walk aways with tons of ideas. Information Technology ShowcaseGet hands-on demos of the latest hardware and software in the AM&E exhibit hall. These education sessions are held in a classroom format to expose school business officials to top-notch hardware and software applications. Internet is available. Clinic TablesAM&E exhibitors are the information sources for these rapid, round table discussions of 25 tables with 10 people at each table changing tables every 15 minutes. On-site Chat RoomDon't see what you're looking for? Here's your chance to claim a meeting room on-site and conduct a session of your choosing. The room is set informally with round tables and comfortable seating to provide for a more intimate, in-depth presentation format where presenters and attendees can engage in a robust Q&A session or take a deeper dive into topics of interest. This is a live (in-person) chat, not online. Use ASBO ConnectEd, or ASBO social media sites Twitter and Facebook to put out the call for participants to join you for an on-site chat.
