Apply for SFO^®Certification

Applications for SFO certification are accepted all year long. Candidates take the exam at a computer-based testing center through the Pearson VUE network in the United States and parts of Canada. 

Follow the application steps below to schedule your exam.

1. Review Program Requirements
There are three parts to the SFO certification.  Before applying for the certification examination, you’ll want to review the program and eligibility requirements for each component. 

2. Submit Your Application 
Applications must be submitted using the SFO Credential Management System, ASBO’s secure, online resource. Login to create your account, submit your application, maintain your contact information and check your certification status. 

3. Pay Certification Fees
Payment is accepted either by credit card at the time of your application submission, or by check [cheque] mailed to ASBO International, Certification Department, 11401 North Shore Drive, Reston, VA 20190. Please note, Payment is required prior to scheduling your certification exam.  See payment details for more information on fees.
