How can I get help from other members? 

Log onto ConnectEd and take the first step.  On ConnectEd you can engage with peers who face the same challenges and may have the solutions you’re seeking.  Check the membership directory to locate members who share your interests.

Where can I get information on ASBO events and meetings? 

Visit ASBO Meetings for the latest information about the ASBO Annual Meeting & Expo (AM&E), the Executive Leadership Forum,  or  Eagle Institute.

Can I earn CPEs? 

Yes, many sessions at ASBO meetings allow you to earn continuing professional education credits.

What about professional development, if I can’t travel? 

Take advantage of online/on-demand access to more than 70 hours of Annual Meeting recorded sessions with the Live Learning Center.  Additional special Webinars will help you get up to speed on current Hot Topics.

How can I find in depth articles about best practices? 

School Business Affairs is mailed to members 11 times a year.  You may also log in to view the digital SBA online and review the annual index of articles in the Members Only area of the Website.

Is there certification for my profession? 

The Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations® (SFO®) program offers recognition for school business professionals with outstanding knowledge and skills in the field.

Can I find products & services for my school district? 

Yes.  The School Business Marketplace is a digital buyer’s guide that helps you find all of the products and services your school district needs without the clutter of a general internet search engine.

Can I get recognition for my district? 

Districts that earn the coveted Certificate of Excellence (COE) and Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) receive promotion from ASBO and enhanced credibility for the financial management of their school system.

Are there individual award programs? 

The Eagle Awards program recognizes individuals who are models in school business management leadership.  The Pinnacle Awards recognize professionals who have implemented outstanding practices, proposals, or new ideas in their school district.
