Renewal and Recertification
You're certified! Now, how do you keep the
credentials?
Annual Renewal
You
renew your certification every year with an annual fee of $125 and your
continued agreement and compliance with the ASBO International Certification Code of Conduct.
Recertification
Your certification is valid for
three years, at which time you must apply to be recertified
by:
- Obtaining and maintaining documentation of 90 contact hours over the three-year recertification cycle (one contact hour equals 50 minutes of content), and
- Ensuring that at least 60 of the 90 required contact hours are in a structured learning environment, with up to 30 contact hours being in an unstructured learning environment. As part of the 30 unstructured contact hours, a candidate can count one year of experience on the job as 3 contact hours.
There are no fees associated with
recertification.
