Kathy Prosser
Environmental Program Facilitator ASBO
is pleased to have Kathy Prosser as the association's environmental
program facilitator, providing direct assistance to districts in the
implementation and coordination of their environmental management
programs.
Kathy has more than 20 years of experience in program management,
implementation, and evaluation through her work with both non-profit and
private organizations. Her background in health education laid the
foundation for her work in implementing education and training programs
on lung health and the indoor environment, recruiting and facilitating
volunteers for committees and projects, establishing program partners
and sponsors, and conducting program promotional activities.
Her experience with indoor environmental issues began in 1995 with the
introduction of the U.S. EPA's IAQ Tools for Schools program. During her
11-year tenure with the American Lung Association of Ohio, Kathy was
responsible for facilitating training workshops that led to the
implementation of the IAQ Tools for Schools program. Tools for Schools
tied in naturally with her work in asthma and lung health as she was
passionately involved with coordinating asthma management workshops for
health care professionals and the implementation of asthma management
programs for school age children, including the Open Airways for Schools
program.
While at the American Lung Association she served on the Schools
Subcommittee of the Ohio Indoor Air Quality Coalition focused on
providing school stakeholders with the resources and training necessary
to implement the IAQ Tools for Schools program.
Kathy's organizational, management, and people skills have afforded her
the ability to build and manage new programs and foster the teams
necessary to effectively implement them throughout her professional
career. In her role as the environmental program facilitator, Kathy
looks forward to helping school districts educate their staff, recruit
program champions, and improve the environmental quality of their
facilities through the implementation of effective and sustainable
environmental management programs.
