ASBO International's recent health care survey is generating increasing national attention on the impact rising cost of health insurance is having on education.

Education Week and the Associated Press have recently written articles on the results of ASBO's survey on health insurance costs.

The AP story, carried in the Washington Post, the San Jose Mercury News, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the San Diego Union-Tribune, and New York Newsday (among others), quotes U.S. Department of Education Secretary Rod Paige as saying he empathizes with school leaders but that costs such as health insurance should not get entangled in the debate over No Child Left Behind.

Four ASBO members also are quoted: Dave Jones (Alaska), Rob Smith (Utah), Mohsin Dada (Illinois) and Richard Dupuis (Massachusetts).
