ASBO International Ensures Membership Continuity (December 17, 2008)

December 17, 2008 --
Citing its commitment to the driving force of the organization --
its membership -- ASBO International is launching an initiative that
will assist members in need during the year ahead.
Beginning January 1, 2009 and continuing through the end of the
calendar year, any active individual ASBO International member who loses
his or her job due to staff reductions will be granted a complimentary
membership extension of up to six months. Extensions will be provided to
eligible individuals whose membership is up for renewal during the
year.
ASBO International understands that school districts are struggling
during this economic crisis, and many district employees may be
personally impacted by these budget cuts. In an effort to support
members, these membership extensions will keep school business officials
connected to colleagues and up-to-date in the profession as they search
for new positions.
