ASBO International and NSU Announce Doctoral Scholars Program Winners (May 5, 2006)
Washington,
D.C. — Collaborating on the creation of a Doctoral
Scholars Program, the Association of School Business Officials
International (ASBO) and Nova Southeastern University (NSU) announced
the premier winners of this annual competition.
Jonathan H. Ross, RSBA, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and
Facilities of the Blind Brook-Rye (NY) Union Free School District, and
Mindy B. Stooksbury, RSBA, Director of Fiscal Services of Maryville (TN)
City Schools, were selected as the 2006 NSU-ASBO International Doctoral
Scholars Program scholarship winners.
They will each
receive a half-tuition scholarship towards completing a Doctor of
Education (Ed.D.) degree at NSU's Fischler School of Education and Human
Services.

ASBO partnered with NSU to establish doctoral courses of study in
educational leadership and organizational leadership with a minor in
school business leadership. The program enables ASBO members to advance
their skills and build upon their roles as leaders in the fields of
education and school business management. The scholarships, sponsored by
NSU, are an additional benefit to select ASBO members.
