Deparment of Education Offers Free Webcast on School Safety
In the wake of a rash of school shootings in October 2006, and in light of the White House Conference on School Safety, the U.S. Department of Education presented a one-house Webcast that provided parents, educators, school administrators, and local safety personnel with an opportunity to review key considersations in school emergency management planning.
The Department's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools shared successful strategies about what schools can do to help mitigate, prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from a crisis.
